99 Nights in the Forest Biome Map

Every region we currently track, split by map ring, with the threats, resources and the reason you would actually go there. Rings follow the reported concentric generation model.

Short answer

The inner ring (0–500m) is gentle forest and holds your entire early game. Beyond about 500m the map splits into outer sectors — Snow, Volcanic and Jungle — each with its own enemy set and material pool. Underground spaces and landmark structures sit on top of both rings.

  • Snow Biome: cold gear and the Ice Temple, one of the better Cultist Gem routes.
  • Volcanic Biome: endgame metals, Scorpion Shell and the Cultist King Palace.
  • Jungle Biome: dense hostile camps, Boar Tusk and temple loot.
  • Caves: Cave Vine Flower and locked chests — never enter without light.

Rings explained

A new run does not reuse a fixed coordinate map. Reported generation follows a concentric radial pattern: a safe inner circle built around your campfire, with dangerous biomes radiating outward in sectors.

Forest

Your entire early game lives here. Everything you need for Campfire Level 2–3 and the Dino Kid rescue is inside the inner ring.

The cold-gear and Ice Temple route. Also one of the more reliable Cultist Gem sources because the Ice Temple sits here.

Jungle Biome

High density of hostile camps and temples. Rewards are strong, but the entry cost in gear is real.

Choosing your first outer sector

Go Snow first if you need Cultist Gems, because the Ice Temple is both a gem source and the Ice Bow route. Go Jungle only once you can clear a camp of Cultists without losing half your health, and treat Volcanic as endgame content — it is where the Cultist King Palace and the Scorpion Shell line live.

Frequently asked questions

How many biomes are in 99 Nights in the Forest?
Our tracked region list includes Forest, Snow, Volcanic, Jungle and Fairy as surface biomes, plus caves, temples, strongholds and other landmark structures. We do not publish a hard count because several entries are still unverified.
Which biome should I enter first?
Snow, if you need Cultist Gems, because the Ice Temple is one of the more reliable early sources and it also feeds the Ice Bow route. Jungle and Volcanic both assume you already have gear.
Is the Fairy Biome real?
It appears repeatedly in our source shortlist, but we have no solid threat or resource data for it yet, so it is flagged NEEDS_VERIFY rather than described in detail.
